- Ashish Peter Gomes
- Ashish Peter Gomes is a Professional Photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh with a special interest in Documentary Photography. Ashish completed his graduation in Accounting. Beside that Ashish completed his Diploma in Photojournalism from Pathshala, the South Asian Media Academy, Dhaka from same institute he did Advanced Diploma in Photography. During study in Pathshala he joined in ICE Today (Country’s first premiere English lifestyle magazine). In December 2009 he joined in BBC World Service Trust as Camera Assistant after that he worked as Cameraman. He also works for some Production house, Development Organizations and BBC Media Action as Freelance Photographer and Cinematographer. His prime arena of interest resolves around socio-political documentaries. Among his ongoing projects “Bagh Bidhoba” (Tiger Widow), “Old people in Nepal”, “Migrant Urbanization” are worth mentioning. His work was published in different countries like India, Nepal, United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland. His work also published in Bangladeshi Newspaper like The Daily Star, The Daily Prothom-alo, The Shomokal, The ICE Today etc.
